The Village of Hadar, Nebraska is a small, rural community located about seven miles northwest of Norfolk along Nebraska Highway 13. Hadar offers a quiet, small-town atmosphere with several amenities, including a convenience store, bar and grill, and a library that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Little Free Library

The Little Free Library is located at 402 Sycamore St. It is the second library of its kind in Nebraska and the first "park-like" little library with a bench to enjoy some reading before your journey home. Charlotte Endorf established the no-fee book exchange in her own yard. People may borrow as many items as they like if they leave the same number in return.

Hadar Community Improvement

A local organization, Hadar Community Improvement conducts fundraisers to benefit the community. In the past, the group has purchased new playground equipment and sponsored celebrations and contests in Hadar. Hadar Community Improvement hosts a pancake feed in the spring as its annual fundraiser.

Immanuel Lutheran School

Immanuel Lutheran School in Hadar provides preschool through eighth grade students with a Christian education in preparation for this life and the next. God's word is the church’s primary focus, and every subject is taught from a Christ-centered perspective.
